21 – 23 February 2022

Overview

The Asian Universities Alliance (AUA) Academic Conferences are important platforms that encourage academic communications on the topics drawn from the AUA Themes. It is the aspiration of AUA for Academic Conference under its research collaboration module to bring forth the establishment of research clusters to further strengthen the research collaborations between member universities. Universiti Malaya, Malaysia together with Chulalongkorn University, Thailand were honoured to be the host of the 2022 AUA Academic Conference on Sustainable Energy and Green Technology which was held from 21-23 February 2022 with the theme “Gearing Innovative Green Technologies Towards Sustainable Living”, supporting the AUA Themes for 2020-2023 “Energy and Sustainability”. AUA SEGT 2022 aims to promote research in the field of sustainable energy, green technology, environment and climate change, and to facilitate the exchange of new ideas and the establishment of research clusters in these fields among academicians, engineers, scientists and practitioners from both AUA and non-AUA member universities. The 2022 AUA Academic Conference on Sustainable Energy and Green Technology was an online conference held in Gather Town (a virtual conference platform) where avatar was used by participant for interactions at the AUA SEGT 2022 conference venue (metaverse), just like in a real physical conference. The conference was chaired by Prof. Ir. Dr. Chong Wen Tong (Universiti Malaya), and co-chaired by Prof. Anongnat Somwangthanaroj (Chulalongkorn University) and Assoc.
