Biography

Ibrahim Dincer is a full professor of Mechanical Engineering at University of Ontario and visiting professor at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Yildiz Technical University. Renowned for his pioneering works in the area of sustainable energy technologies he has authored/co-authored numerous books and book chapters, and many refereed journal and conference papers. He has chaired many national and international conferences, symposia, workshops and technical meetings. He has delivered many keynote and invited lectures. He is an active member of various international scientific organizations and societies, and serves as editor-in-chief, associate editor, regional editor, and editorial board member on various prestigious international journals. He is a recipient of several research, teaching and service awards, including the Premier’s research excellence award in Ontario, Canada. During the past four years he has been recognized by Thomson Reuters as one of The Most Influential Scientific Minds in Engineering and one of the most highly cited researchers.

Biography

Wei-Hsin Chen has received his PhD degree in 1993 at the Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan and is a Distinguished Professor at the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, National Cheng Kung University. He has visited the Princeton University, USA, the University of New South Wales, Australia, the University of Edinburg, UK and the University of British Columbia, Canada as a Visiting Professor. His research interests include bioenergy, hydrogen energy, clean energy, carbon capture and atmospheric science. He owns a number of academic awards and has published over 160 SCI papers with an h-index of 33. He is the Editorial Board Member of international journals Applied Energy, International Journal of Energy Research and Energies. He is also the author of several books concerning energy science and air pollution.

Biography

Dennis Y.C. Leung received his BEng (1982) and PhD (1988) from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Hong Kong.  He had worked with the Hongkong Electric Co., Ltd. for five years heading the air pollution section of the company before joining the University of Hong Kong in 1993. Since then he is very active in conducting research in environmental and energy engineering. Professor Leung is now a full professor of the department specializing in environmental pollution control and renewable & clean energy development. He has published more than 400 articles in this area including 210+ peer reviewed top SCI journal papers.  He was invited to publish more than 10 review articles in leading journals.  His h-index is 52 and total citations are more than 10000. He is one of the top 1% highly cited scientists in the world in energy field since 2010 (Essential Science Indicators) until now. Prof. Leung has delivered more than 50 keynote and invited speeches in many conferences as well as public lectures.  He serves as a chief editor or editorial board member of a number of journals including Frontiers in Environmental Sciences, Applied Energy, Journal of Power & Energy, and Sustainable Energy. He was and presently serving many governmental committees related to energy and environment. He is a CEng and fellow of IMechE, Energy Institute and HKIOA. Prof. Leung received numerous awards including the Outstanding Earth Champion Hong Kong award in 2008 in recognizing his contributions in protecting the environment.

Biography

Michael K H Leung is a Professor and Associate Dean in the School of Energy and Environment at the City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. He is also the Director of Ability R&D Energy Research Centre at University of Hong Kong. His areas of expertise include solar photocatalysis, fuel-cell electrochemistry and advanced refrigeration and air-conditioning. He is listed as a highly cited scholar in energy science and engineering by Shanghai Ranking and Elsevier. He has published 130+ journal papers, 70+ conference papers, 15 books/book chapters and 6 patents. He is also a Past Chairman of the Energy Institute (Hong Kong Branch), Chairman in HKIE Education and Examinations Committee, a Chartered Engineer and a Registered Professional Engineer.

Biography

Chin-Hsiang Cheng has received his PhD degree in 1993 in  the Deparmtent of Mechanical Engineering, University of Tatung, Taiwan and is a Distinguished Professor at the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, National Cheng Kung University. His research interests include Fuel Cells, Molecular Dynamics Simulation, Microactuators and Thermo-electric Devices, Stirling Engines, Inverse Heat Transfer Theory , Optimization Algorithm , LCD/OLED Manufacturing Technology. He owns a number of academic awards and has published over 135 journal papers, 250 conference papers and 30 patents. He is the Associate Editor of Journal of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineers (SCI) and Journal of Aeronautics, Astronautics and Aviation and also Editorial Board Member of Far East Journal of Applied Mathematics, Int. Journal of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, JP Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer.
